About Me

I am an applied scientist at Amazon Alexa. Before that, I was a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Mark Steedman. Before joining EdinburghNLP, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Peking University, where I was advised by Prof. Sujian Li in the Key Lab of Computational Linguistics.

My interests lie in the field of Natural Language Processing, especially in the area of NLI, LLM hallucination and RAG. I am also interested in inference-time strategies to improve natural language generation quality. Check out my publications for more details :)

I am dedicated to the development of open-source resources. I have developed a few open-source projects, including Chinese Fine-grained Entity Typing (Code and Dataset!), Chinese OpenIE, and a Chinese Entailment Graph.

In informal occasions, I like to go by the name Teddy, but do search for TIANYI LI for my publications! Personally, I am a big fan of road trips and cycle touring. Check out the selected images below!
